about
We wrote this sitting with a guitar in a hotel in Amsterdam. We just got playing with the chimey open chord voicings which ended up as the chorus, and the rest of the song fell into place quite quickly....unlike the production, which took the best part of six months to get done! Thanks to Tasha for haunting BVs and Robin for epic bass solo xx
lyrics
I’m sorry, is all I can say
I see by the look on your face it’s too late
We’ve all made big mistakes
I made mine, last night
I was drinking, you know how it affects my head
I made the wrong choice
I should have been with you in bed
And now I’m facing my biggest regret, tonight
You, you’re everything to me
So baby why can’t you see
If I could turn back time
And take back the words I said
It’s crazy, how love can turn to hate
So quickly, careless words map our fate
Before yesterday, our future was looking great
You, you’re everything to me
So baby why can’t you see
The tears in our eyes
Don’t disguise the way we feel
Okay, I’ve said enough
There’s nothing more that I can do
I would write my words in blood
If that would get through to you
But it’s not, and I’m on my knees
Beggin please, I’m sorry
You, you’re everything to me
So baby why can’t you see
If I could turn back time
And take back the words I said
It’s true, there’s no one else but you
Don’t break our world in two
We’ll make it through
You know that we always do
Cos it’s me and you…..
